How An 'Attitude of Gratitude' Can Support Your Manifestation Process

"If you thank your mind, it will relax.

If you thank your heart, it will open

If you thank your past, it will integrate

If you thank your symptoms, they will heal.

if you thank your shadow, it will vanish

If you thank your life, it will transform

If you thank your self, the light will dawn."

Matt Kahn

In our endless pursuit of our happiness, we often make the mistake of looking outside of ourselves, to external factors and circumstances, to bring us joy. We're always searching for

  • A Better Partner

  • A Bigger House

  • A Better Job

  • More Money

The list goes on.

However, happiness is not a destination, but a state of being. True, lasting happiness lies deep WITHIN us, waiting to be unleashed.

One of the most potent and transformational keys to unlocking this happiness is gratitude. Cultivating an attitude of gratitude can transform your life, helping you manifest a state of lasting peace and fulfillment.

Gratitude is SO important in the manifestation process! It's the ultimate amplifier when you can have "one foot in desire and one in gratitude" at all times. Because what you appreciate, appreciates!

In this blog post, we explore the power of gratitude and how it can help you achieve the happy, healthy life you dream of.

"Instead of always being slightly dissatisfied with where you are, be mostly satisfied and always reaching for more."

Abraham Hicks

“There are two things that define a person. Your patience when you have nothing, and your attitude when you have everything.”

Jason Luke

Shifting Your Mindset

The key to happiness is to shift your perspective and focus from what is lacking in your life to identifying and cherishing what you already have. By focusing on the positives, no matter how small, you invite a sense of abundance and contentment into your life, and this lays the energetic foundation for manifesting a happy and fulfilling life.

The words "want" and "desire" imply lack. So, when you want/desire something, you're actually in the mindset of negativity, scarcity and only seeing what you don't have. Shift your thoughts to the positive, to abundance, humbly acknowledging every single thing you have currently, and everything that is to come. Love your life as it. is so much that there is no room for any feelings of want/desire.

"Regularly expressing gratitude changes the molecular structure of the the brain."

National Institutes of Health, Cognitive Nueroscience

Not only is Gratitude important for manifesting, but it also can serve as a beacon of hope during life's challenges. There is beauty present even in the most difficult circumstances and hardships. By always looking for the silver lining, you cultivate a resilient spirit that helps you navigate through adversity with grace and optimism.

This is especially important to remember when we feel stuck in a life that feels "less than" our ideal.

  • You may. not love your job, but it is providing a steady paycheck.

  • You may see your relationship ending soon, but you made some great memories and learned a lot.

  • You may dream of more money, but the money you have now is enough to get by.

  • Your health may be suffering but you have a lot of support from friends and family.

In other words, always place your attention on what IS going well. What are the hidden blessings within each struggle? Where can you find pleasure within your pain?

"What you appreciate, appreciates."

Manifesting Abundance

The practice of gratitude is when our relationship with life truly begins because it’s when our eyes first open to life’s beauty.

Abundance begins with gratitude. When we are grateful for what we have, we begin to conquer the fears that dominate the scarcity mindset. We don’t need to chase more for fear of missing out.

When you can have gratitude for everything around you soon you'll live a much richer life.

Research suggests gratitude also has a remarkable impact on wellbeing and happiness, even our finances. When we recognize both the importance of what we have and the opportunities available beyond that, we make better long-term decisions overall.

"What if your markers of success were... how well you sleep at night? how many books your read? how often you laughed? how often you were hugged or held, or felt warm in the homes of those you love?"

Gratitude is a powerful tool for manifesting abundance in all areas of life. It shifts your mindset from scarcity to abundance, an energy which over time will attract opportunities, prosperity, and overall well-being. By focusing on your existing blessings, you send a signal to the universe that you are open to receiving more blessings.

The fastest way to manifest is to stop trying to manifesting all together and soak up the blessings and bliss of the present moment. Live by the truth that all is perfect exactly as it is.

By acknowledging and expressing gratitude for the good things in your life, you cultivate a vibrational frequency of joy and love. These positive emotions act as magnets, amplifying the positive and attracting even more reasons to be grateful and fostering a continuous cycle of happiness.

“Be grateful for your life, every detail of it, and your face will come to shine like a sun, and everyone who sees it will be made glad and peaceful. Persist in gratitude, and you will slowly become one with the Sun of Love, and Love will shine through you its all-healing Joy.”

Rumi

To manifest something, you have to see, and feel that energy whole-heartedly. Start looking around you to all the sources of that energy, large and small, and focus your attention on it. You have to start noticing the thing you want to call in and realize that it's already all around you, in order to radiate that feeling outwards and call in more of it towards you. This simple act will actually assist your manifestations with coming through easier.

So, the first and foremost step in your manifestation journey is to appreciate everything you are, see, do and have in your life!

Why? Because when the universe gives us what we need in that moment (which is simply to BREATH), all that it asks for in return is our LOVE

The energy of love extends far beyond romantic love. Love can be anything you value that is rooted in thankfulness and appreciation. Gratitude is LOVE!

"When we focus on our gratitude, the tide of disappointment goes out and the tide of love rushes in."

Kristin Armstrong

We can always appreciate what we have while taking steps to align with what we want.

  • To call more LOVE into your life, you have to focus on the existing forms of love in your life.

  • To call more ABUNDANCE into your life, you have to focus on the existing forms abundance in your life.

  • To call more SUCCESS into your life, you have to focus on the existing forms of success in your life.

  • To call more HEALTH into your life, you have to focus on the existing forms of health in your life.

"A mind filled with gratitude leads to a heart full of happiness"

Christy Ann Martine

ALIGNED ACTION: To manifest quickly, create and enjoy a "Gratitude Sandwich":

  1. LIST all of the things you value and appreciate in your life

  2. DECIDE what you want. Believe you can have it and that's its possible. Know you deserve it.

  3. CLOSE your eyes and several minutes per day (ideally before sleep and upon waking) visualize having what you want, including focusing the feelings of already having it

  4. RETURN to your gratitude list- focusing on what you're thankful for already and relish in that enjoyment

  5. RELEASE it all to the universe, trusting the universe will figure it out in the highest timeline and order. Go about your day with love and enjoyment.

"Gratitude is not just about saying or thinking it. We really have to FEEL the gratitude for the things we once had, we currently have, and what we don’t have yet."

Miguel Angel

Gratitude Practices

Every day celebrate, bless and thank Spirit and Source, the universe and your spirit guides for exactly where you are and what you have!

JOURNALING & REFLECTION

Some say handwriting in a gratitude journal might have extra benefits than typing because it helps to improve memory.

  • Don’t just go through the motions of writing - make the conscious decision to become happier and more grateful and FEEL it from within.

  • Go for depth over breadth - Elaborate in detail about a particular thing for which you’re grateful vs. a superficial list of many things.

  • Try subtraction, not just addition - reflect on what your life would be like without certain blessings, rather than just tallying up all those good things

  • Don’t overdo it - Writing occasionally (once or twice per week) is more beneficial than daily because if you do it too often, you run the risk of feeling "desensitized"

Prompt 1: What specific things are you grateful for today? Think of all of the comforting, beautiful, or interesting things you can!

  • SENSORY EXPERIENCES: Smells, Tastes, Sounds, Sights, Textures

  • SELF: Talent, Skill, Ability, Appearance,

  • OTHERS: Family, Friends, Coworkers, Ancestors

  • NATURE Seasons, Flora & Fauna

  • CULTURE: Places, Foods, Holidays

  • PAST: Memories, Traditions, Story, Surprises, Challenges, Events

  • PRESENT: Struggles, Silver Linings

  • MATERIAL POSSESSIONS: Technology, Artwork, Books, Clothing, Household Goods

Prompt 2: Today I am grateful for...

  • All that I have already (more than enough)

  • All that I'll be (more than you can imagine)

  • Where I'm at (today)

  • Where I'm going (tomorrow)

  • What I have that others want

  • The person I was and the person I am today (how far you've come)

Prompt 3: Write a letter of forgiveness and loving kindness to anyone in your past or present who you feel did not value you, did not appreciate you or felt unfulfilling. Extend gratitude for what you gained from that relationship or dynamic.

"Find a place inside where there’s joy, and the joy will burn out the pain.”

Joseph Campbell

ALIGNED ACTIONS

REFRAME the things you "have" to do (need to do, supposed to do) into things you "GET TO" do. It's all about perspective!

  • I get to exercise

  • I get to see my friends and family

  • I get to eat delicious food

  • I get to learn and experience new things

SHIFT your everyday mindset from shame to gratitude. Let go of toxic people-pleasing and own your boundaries!

  • I'm sorry I can't do more right now --> Thank you for understanding I'm at capacity

  • I'm sorry I'm slow --> Thank you for your patience

  • I'm sorry or being a burden --> Thank you for being supportive

  • I'm sorry I got so emotional --> Thank you for being a safe space for me

EXPRESSING gratitude towards others strengthens the bonds we share, deepens connections, and fosters a sense of belonging. When we appreciate and acknowledge the presence of loved ones, friends, and even strangers, we create a positive ripple effect, spreading happiness and love across the community, and the world.

FAKE IT til you make it! Instead of beating yourself up because you can't afford to eat in the most expensive restaurants, create a fine dining experience at home for yourself with candles, a fancy home cooked meal, ambient music, beautiful table decor, and whatever clothing that makes you feel special or sexy.

CAPTURE all of your current blessings in a gratitude board, using the bagua template as a guide.

EXTEND an offering or contribution to Mother Nature in thanks

"If you know that abundance already exists in your life, have gratitude for it, where it exists, and that will help you attain it in other areas of your life."

Wendy Kennedy
